I’m a servant at heart and love people. After wallowing in anxiety for several years, I quit my job and refocused my life on something I’m passionate about: caring for people. Mental health is a topic I am strongly passionate about and work to bring awareness to in my own community.
I believe it is one of the most important branches of health and medicine that is sadly ignored, but luckily that seems to be changing as is evident in many insurance companies opening up their benefits for their patients and the ever-growing topic of mindfulness.
Mental illnesses can be loud, but they can also be quiet– which means the illness may get ignored, until like my case, when anxiety has grown tired of being pushed aside and makes you cry every day for a month.
Why not take care of your mind the way we take care of our bodies, our homes, and our loved ones? You won’t regret it, because when you take care of your mind, your life just might change for the better.
